Independent research provider mulls Tokyo IPO

Japaninvest, an independent equity brokerage set up two years ago by former Fleming bankers, is considering listing in Japan as part of its growth strategy.

The company was established in 2003 following the debate over conflicts of interest in investment banking and regulatory pressures to spilt up research and trading.
