F&C boosted by inflows ahead of Bramson’s first AGM

The UK fund manager attracted over £1bn in new institutional funds in the first quarter of 2011, as its investors await an update on the firm's ongoing strategic review

Edward Bramson has been handed a vote of confidence ahead of his first annual general meeting as chairman of F&C Asset Management, with news that the fund manager attracted over £1bn in new institutional money during the first quarter.

Bramson, via investment vehicle Sherborne Investors, took control of F&C in early February, ousting then chairman Nick MacAndrew and installing himself in the role.
