ING funds chief steps down

ING Investment Management's European chief executive has retired leaving a gap at the head of the €370bn ($507bn) fund manager and one of the industry's top roles vacant.

Angelien Kemna, who has led the €152bn European funds division of ING for five years, is to leave on July 1 to pursue academic interests, a spokeswoman for the manager confirmed.
