Royal London Asset Management has taken a different approach to many of its City rivals when it comes to building a private markets business.

The £173bn firm announced in October 2023 that it had hired M&G veteran William Nicoll to oversee the set up its private markets capabilities from scratch as part of a “major strategic initiative”.
