Interactive Data plots real-time bond pricing

A president at the firm suggests the new service could be used as a model for obtaining pre-trade prices

Interactive Data, a provider of financial data and analytics, is preparing to launch a service for pricing corporate bonds, at a time of regulatory upheaval for bond trading across the globe.

From the fourth quarter, Interactive Data will add real-time valuations to its fixed income pricing service - starting with corporate bonds - allowing buyside traders to obtain prices for instruments before they trade. The service is currently in development and is being tested with a handful of clients, according to the firm.
