Internet M&A slumped dramatically in April, report says

Internet mergers and acquisitions activity drastically declined in April, according to Webmergers.com, the US internet research firm.

The report says that $2.6bn (€2.9bn) was spent on acquiring 115 internet companies around the world in April, compared to $5bn spent in March on a total of 143 acquisitions. Of the $2.6bn, $1bn was spent on buying internet consultancies.
