InverCaixa, the investment banking arm of Spanish savings bank La Caixa, has hired Manuel Gómez del Río, a former UBS Warburg banker, as head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Gómez del Río was an executive director at UBS Warburg and in charge of the investment bank's construction team. He left the bank in 2002 after 13 years there.
