Investor AB, the Swedish investment firm, wrote down Skr628m (€68m) on its private equity portfolio in the six months ending June 30, a marked improvement on the Skr1.4bn that it wrote down in the same period last year.

In 2001, Investor AB went on to make a total writedown of Skr2.8bn for the year, double its half-year figure.
