Investors gear up for a boom

The world's fund managers are limbering up for boom-times in the global economy, according to the latest survey of their outlook, which finds optimism at its highest level since early 2011.

Almost a quarter of managers, 23%, say they are expecting boom conditions - above-trend growth and inflation - and a further 18% expect a "goldilocks" scenario - above-trend growth and below-trend inflation - in the next 12 months.
