Investors push Facebook, Chevron for climate stats as ESG data drive expands

An expanding group of investors is pressing a larger number of companies - over 1,000 in 2020 - for environmental stats, CDP says, as ESG investing takes off

Legal & General, Aviva Investors and Nordea Asset Management are among 105 investors making a fresh push for more data on climate change from over a thousand “high impact” companies.

Part of the Non-Disclosure Campaign, which is in its fifth year, the investor initiative comes as the Covid-19 pandemic has seen an increase in ESG investing – environmental, social and governance criteria used to screen investments – and governments mull over green recoveries.
