New UKFI chief leaves his mark with £6bn Barclays issue

Credit Suisse's James Leigh-Pemberton, who will leave at the end of this month, was one of the lead bankers on Barclays' multibillion pound rights issue

James Leigh-Pemberton, the UK chief executive of Credit Suisse, has marked his last month with the Swiss investment bank with the completion of Barclays’ £5.8 billion rights issue today.

Barclays placed its mammoth rights issue with investors in a deal that was managed by a string of investment banks.
