Jefferies, the US mid-market investment bank, has continued its European expansion with the recruitment of a head of equity capital markets to its new combined London-based business.

Rupert Mitchell, who left Citigroup as a managing director in its ECM division at the end of August, has joined Jefferies in a new role in order to build its European capital markets operation.
