Jefferies hires fixed income traders cut by Nomura

Daniel Cohen and Giovanni Visentin join US investment bank’s high-yield trading team

Jefferies has hired two Nomura fixed income specialists, just months after the Japanese bank unveiled sweeping cuts to its London investment bank.

The US investment bank has brought in Daniel Cohen as head of high-yield trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Giovanni Visentin as head of high-yield strategy in the region, according to a person familiar with the matter.
