JP Morgan Chase and UBS share infrastructure spoils

JP Morgan Chase and UBS have made their first significant European infrastructure investments after beating Goldman Sachs in the race to acquire UK water company Southern Water for £1.3bn (€1.9bn) excluding debt.

JP Morgan Chase and UBS raised dedicated infrastructure funds through their asset management divisions last year as part of a push by investment banks to invest in the asset class.
