JP Morgan Partners hires new partner for Europe

JP Morgan Partners, the private equity arm of JP Morgan Chase, has hired Stephen Welton, a former managing director at Barclays Private Equity, as a partner to expand its operations in Europe.

Part of Welton's London-based job will be to find investments for the $8bn (€8bn) Global Investors fund the firm closed last week, about 20% of which will be devoted to Europe.
