JPMorgan has created a new advisory role to capitalise on a rising number of private equity deals, as the sector puts its record stockpile of money to work.

The bank has named London-based managing director Mahir Zaimoglu as head of financial sponsors mergers and acquisitions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
