JPMorgan has hired a senior dealmaker from Deutsche Bank to fill a top sector role in its European investment banking business.

Matthew Gehl will join as head of technology investment banking in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the autumn, following a period of gardening leave, according to an internal memo signed by JPMorgan's co-head of corporate coverage in Emea, Harry Hampson.
