Jupiter's stars light up retail universe

The title 'alpha manager' has been given to 117 individuals in UK retail fund management this year - more than a quarter of them are from just five firms

Jupiter Fund Management has the highest number of top-performing retail fund managers of any asset manager in the UK, followed by Threadneedle Asset Management, according to a ranking just published by a data provider.

Jupiter had 11 fund managers in the list of the top 10% of UK fund managers, according to data and research provider Trustnet: John Hamilton, Algy Smith-Maxwell, Anthony Nutt, Ben Whitmore, Guy de Blonay, Ian McVeigh, John Chatfeild-Roberts, Peter Lawery, Philip Gibbs, Simon Somerville and Alexander Darwall.
