Kentucky bets on private equity

The $17.3bn (€12.8bn) pension scheme of the state of Kentucky has promised $275m to three private equity funds, virtually doubling its existing allocation to the asset class.

The pension scheme has committed $125m to Oak Hill Capital Partners' third fund and $75m to Warburg Pincus' 10th, US pensions journal P&I reported on its website.
