Kernel Capital Partners launches €25m regional fund

Kernel Capital Partners, the Irish venture capital firm, has secured €6.4m ($5.6m) from Enterprise Ireland, the Irish national funding body, for its new €25m early-stage technology fund focused on Southern Ireland.

The fund has already raised €12.5m for its first closing. It will invest between €300,000 and €1.5m in early-stage companies. It is targeting the information technology, communications and life sciences sectors.
