KKR reports Q2 profit as financial markets recover

The result marks a rebound for the asset-management company after it logged a large first-quarter loss

KKR said on 4 August that its second-quarter profit rose year on year, marking a recovery for the asset-management company after it logged a large first-quarter loss amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The company posted a second-quarter profit of $707m, or $1.24 a share, compared with a profit of $522.7m, or 93 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.
