KKR buys stake in Nasdaq-listed RigNet

The private equity firm has invested around $4 billion in the oil and gas sector globally since the beginning of 2009

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has acquired a minority stake in Nasdaq Stock Market-listed RigNet from Nordic firm Cubera – the latest of a number of deals the firm has struck in the oil and gas sector.

New York-based KKR yesterday also disclosed a new specialty finance company created to lend to the maritime industry.
