KPN shares rise after success of €5bn issue

Shares in KPN surged nearly 11% after the Dutch telecoms operator completed a €5bn ($4.5bn) equity issue sold to new and existing investors.

The stock rose as high as €5.67, up 10.9% from the previous night's close, after the offer was priced. The deal was twice covered and shares were sold at €4.90, a 4.1% discount to the previous close.
