L&G Investment Management profits inch higher

Legal & General Investment Management, fund arm of the UK insurance giant, posted a £2m (€2.8m) rise in half-yearly profits despite new business wins totalling £6bn.

The institutional fund business of the UK's largest passive manager made a £25m pre-tax profit in the six months to the end of June 2003, a rise of 9% on the same period last year.
