Largest London pension fund moves into private equity

The £1.5bn (€2.1bn) London Pension Fund Authority, the largest local government pension scheme provider in London with over 70,000 fund members, is to move a portion of its assets into private equity.

The local authority has begun a search for a private equity manager to run around 5% of its pension fund assets.
