Largest VC fund in Ireland closes at €140m

Trinity Venture Capital, an Irish venture capital firm, has overcome the tough environment for fund-raising and closed its second fund at €140m ($138.7m), making it the largest fund in Ireland dedicated to technology.

The firm has also taken on a new investment director, Brian Caulfield, who joins as a tech entrepreneur, having co-founded a number of Dublin-based software ventures, including Exceptis Technologies, which was sold for €26m, and Similarity Systems.
