The massive boom in lawyer pay in the City is “not sustainable”, according to the managing partner of top UK law firm Simmons & Simmons.

Pay for partners and junior lawyers at leading law firms has rocketed in London in recent years, driven by big-paying US firms and the rocket fuel of private equity deals.
