Lazard has hired Mark Renton as a managing director, a role in which he will focus on financial advisory work in the international oil and gas sectors. Renton was previously vice chairman for global energy at Citigroup, where he advised oil and gas companies on mergers and acquisitions and strategy. Renton was also global co-head of the public sector group at Citigroup, after a stint as head of investment banking for Asia-Pacific.
