Lazard’s Swedish chair faces allegations of bribery

The charges relate to a 2015 takeover of Swiss engineering group OC Oerlikon Corporation

The chair of Lazard's Swedish operation has been accused of aggravated bribery in relation to a takeover of engineering group Atlas Copco, according to court documents.

Gustaf Slettengren has been charged by Swedish prosecutors, who accuse him of paying a €138,000 bribe to a board member of Swiss manufacturing company OC Oerlikon Corporation in 2016 for information as it sold its vacuum business to Atlas for €486mn in 2015.
