LCH adds risk and legal expertise

The two appointments come at a critical time for LCH.Clearnet, which is preparing for new rules that are set to transform the clearing market

LCH.Clearnet, the Anglo French clearing house, has appointed a group chief risk officer and new general counsel, as part of a business transformation plan that coincides with impending rule changes in the post-trade market.

Denis McLaughlin will assume the newly-created role of group chief risk officer, reporting to LCH.Clearnet chief executive Ian Axe, next week. He joins from insurer Aon where he was chief executive of the innovation and analytics division.
