Funding head joins Co-op from RBS

Senior exec responsible for funding the balance sheet of RBS will join the Manchester-based lender on June 3

A senior executive responsible for funding the balance sheet of Royal Bank of Scotland has left the taxpayer-owned lender for the Co-operative Banking Group, the UK mutual that had its credit rating downgraded to junk status by Moody’s this month.

Liam Coleman, deputy group treasurer at RBS, will join the Manchester-based lender on June 3 as group treasurer, according to a Co-operative spokesman.
