A little-known portfolio run by one of London’s biggest hedge fund firms has quietly become one of the sector’s top performers this year.

At Lansdowne Partners, which manages around $19bn in assets from its base in London’s expensive Mayfair district, the tiny Princay fund has gained 13% this year, according to numbers sent to investors and reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
