The head of the London office at HIG Capital has called time on his near decade-long stint at the mid-market private equity investor, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Paul Canning, a former director at small-cap buyout house Gresham Private Equity, led HIG Europe's 50-strong investment team covering the UK, Benelux and the Nordics.
