$92m loss at JPMorgan

JPMorgan Chase has announced a $92m (&euro97m) loss on its private equity investments last year.

The bank is following hard on the heels of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, which announced a $73m write-down on its private equity portfolio for the fourth quarter last year.
