Lotus F1 backer launches Swiss office

Genii Capital, which counts racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart as a partner, has opened an office in Geneva

Investment management firm Genii Capital has launched a new office in Switzerland. The move continues the rapid expansion of the firm, one of the backers of Formula 1 team Lotus, which was formed in 2008.

A spokesman for Genii confirmed that the firm was launching an office in Geneva, which will be used for deal sourcing - particularly in oil and gas trading - and "consolidating our current activities". The new operation will be run by Christian Frampton, who also leads the firm's advisory arm, the Genii Business Exchange.
