LSE acquires US fixed-income platform

Bonds.com acquisition highlights the growing appeal of fixed income markets to traditional stock exchanges

The London Stock Exchange Group has agreed to acquire a US-based electronic bond-trading venue, in the latest sign that exchange operators are ramping up their efforts to grab fixed-income liquidity.

The LSE today announced an all-cash deal to acquire Bonds.com through its MTS subsidiary, which operates electronic government bond platforms.
