LSE admits 'unfair dismissal' as Lederman hearing heats up

London Stock Exchange concedes it unfairly dismissed the former Turquoise chief executive at employment tribunal hearing – but disputes the nature of its takeover of the alternative trading platform

The London Stock Exchange has conceded that it unfairly dismissed Eli Lederman, the former chief executive of Turquoise, following the exchange's acquisition of the alternative trading platform in February last year, it has emerged.

The revelation came to light this morning during a London employment tribunal, which was attended by Lederman and representatives of the UK exchange.
