LSE delays engine upgrade after outage

Data from the BATS website show that Turquoise's share of European trading fell to 2.2% on Tuesday from 3.5% on Monday

London Stock Exchange said on Wednesday a planned upgrade of the trading engine for its main market will be delayed by several weeks as it investigates a suspicious outage at one of its smaller trading platforms that threatens to damage the exchange's reputation.

"We're looking forward to working with our customers to get a new date as early as we can in the new year to go live on the SETS [order book]," an LSE spokeswoman said.
