LSE reshuffles board ahead of Borsa merger

Two of the longest-standing board members at the London Stock Exchange have stepped down to make space for five new Italian members on an enlarged board ahead of the exchange's merger with Borsa Italiana next week.

The LSE today said Peter Meinertzhagen, the former chairman of ABN Amro Hoare Govett, and Gary Allen, the ex-chairman of engineering solutions business IMI , have left its board.
