LSE suffers second system glitch in eight months

The London Stock Exchange, which last week unveiled a new dark pool trading system, suffered its second technical glitch in eight months as a backlog of data forced the exchange to extend its trading hours.

The European stock market pushed back the market close by 30 minutes to 17:00 GMT after a backlog on one of the channels used to send information to customers left traders unable to access trade-related data.
