Tom Carroll, UK equities manager at the Prudential's M&G arm, is set to join Schroder as a member of its general equities team, according to industry sources.

Carroll, who will be joining as an associate director, is seen as a good hire. His arrival will be a fillip for Schroder, which has just launched a process which uses multinational benchmarks to create performance.
