Mack drops BlackRock takeover talks

Morgan Stanley has abandoned takeover discussions with BlackRock, the $8bn (€6.7bn) US-listed fixed income fund manager.

John Mack, chief executive of Morgan Stanley, brought discussions with BlackRock to a close at the end of January, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with his decision.
