Macro hedge fund manager joins Swedish state fund

Deputy investments chief at Brummer & Partners fund joins AP3 for the second time

A senior portfolio manager at the Swedish hedge fund group Brummer & Partners has left to become chief investment officer of AP3, joining the €28 billion Swedish state pension fund for the second time.

Kerim Kaskal was announced as the Tredje AP-Fonden's new investments chief earlier this month, and will take up the position on October 1. He was previously deputy chief investment officer at Nektar Asset Management, Brummer's €3.5 billion macro and fixed-income unit.
