Matrix appoints Rosier for small-cap focus

Matrix Group, a London investment to corporate finance firm, has launched its first hedge fund and has appointed John Rosier as manager. He is a former senior equity fund manager at Henderson Global Investors.

The fund has received seed financing of $16m (€13m). It will take long and short positions in European equities, mostly in the UK. It aims to generate net returns of at least 15% a year, almost twice the average achieved by hedge funds in the last two calendar years.
