Mayfair Equity Partners has raised £500m for its third fund, moving down in size from its predecessor vehicle in the latest sign of industry challenges on the fundraising circuit.

The London-based buyout shop had originally been looking to exceed the size of its predecessor flagship vehicle, which closed at its £650m hard cap in 2019, according to a person familiar with the matter.
