London's prime rental market has started with a bang in 2010 with the news that an apartment has come on the market for a staggering £25,000 a week.

Estate agents Knight Frank say super-prime rents in areas like Mayfair, South Kensington and Knightsbridge rose 2.5% during the second half of last year, buoyed by the ultra-wealthy from the Middle East and Asia.
