McNulty to step down as chief of CME

James McNulty, president and chief executive of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the world's largest futures and options exchange, is stepping down after just three years at the helm.

CME has appointed Craig Donohue to replace McNulty as chief executive and Phupinder Gill to become president and chief operating officer.
