Goldman Sachs has promoted one of Wall Street's best-known rainmakers to help run its global investment banking business.

Gregg Lemkau was today named along with Marc Nachmann to join John Waldron as co-heads of a business that brought in more than $6 billion for Goldman Sachs last year.
