Mercury exits Braitrim for €180m

Mercury Private Equity has sold its majority stake in Braitrim, the retail packaging group, to Spotless, a quoted Australian business services outfit.

At the time of the original deal in 1998 Mercury was said to have paid around £60m (€96m) for 80% of Braitrim. Spotless has paid €180m ($159m) in cash for Braitrim.
