One of the original line-up of senior managers at Mercury Asset Management — the storied City investment firm of the 1990s — has joined the board of a £5bn boutique.

David Rosier will take up the role of non-executive chairman at Waverton Investment Management in September. It is the latest role in a 40-year career that has included roles at some of London's best-know fund managers.
